The Only Exception is a clean, heartwarming romance with plenty of angst and suspense。 Cheyenne, desperate for a job to care for her mother and sister, takes a job that seems to good to be true。 Ridge lost everything protecting his sister。 Ms。 Blake's well written story will draw you in as Cheyenne appears to work for Ridge while spying on Ridge for David。 The blurb has the plot。 I do not want to leave any spoilers so all I can say is that you do not want to miss this wonderful book。 I love the The Only Exception is a clean, heartwarming romance with plenty of angst and suspense。 Cheyenne, desperate for a job to care for her mother and sister, takes a job that seems to good to be true。 Ridge lost everything protecting his sister。 Ms。 Blake's well written story will draw you in as Cheyenne appears to work for Ridge while spying on Ridge for David。 The blurb has the plot。 I do not want to leave any spoilers so all I can say is that you do not want to miss this wonderful book。 I love the ending and I could not put the book down! 。。。more

Fantastic read this book is beautiful written fast pace, clean the story is about making bad choices out of desperation, how mistakes from the past can hunt you for as long as you let them more importantly how love and understanding friendship and family overcome anything and I love the part of karma play in this book。 I recommend it to anyone。 I got an ARC and is is my honest and voluntary review

So good! I was so excited to read this next book in the Wolf Creek Ranch series because I really liked the characters from the previous books。 This book was really good。 I liked the characters, their faith, the suspense, and the anticipation of what could happen next。 I also liked learning more about Ridge and meeting Cheyenne and her family。 It was an interesting story。 I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。

Mandi Blake always writes the most heartwarming romances with great relatable characters。 She also likes to keep us on our toes with a sprinkling of suspense。 In The Only Exception, Cheyenne is basically being paid to spy on Ridge, so I was wondering just how Ms。 Blake was going to write her so that we understood why she was doing what she was doing and still like her。 I’ve got to admit, I was already on Ridge’s side before the story even started! While I didn’t like that Cheyenne was spying on Ridge, I did understand why she felt like she had to take the job and I appreciated her loyalty to her family。 I also liked that she struggled with what she was doing, especially as she got to know Ridge, and that she was willing to admit that maybe she had misjudged him。 Speaking of Ridge, he was my favorite character! I loved his heart for people, his strength, his loyalty to his sister, and…well, honestly I loved everything about him!Although this is the third story in the Wolf Creek Ranch series, I believe each could easily be read as standalones。 I have enjoyed each story and this series is turning into my favorite series of Mandi Blake’s, so far! 。。。more

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion。 Ridge Cooper, former NFL player now works on Wolf Creek Ranch and is starting a youth program。 Hired to be his assistant is Cheyenne Keeton。 She is also working for Ridge’s enemy David Lang in order to pay for her mother’s rehabilitation treatments following a stroke。 This book involves issues of trust and seeing where right and wrong intersect。 Great drama and intrigue in this book too。 A must read。

I don't think I can truly put into words just how much this wonderful story touched my heart, but I'm going to go ahead and try my best。 I've been (not) so patiently waiting to read this one, ever since readers were given a glimpse at Ridge's upcoming story at the end of Almost Everything, and it did not disappoint。 Mandi Blake has once again written a swoon worthy, heart wrenching contemporary romance novel that gives all the feels, and keeps Christ at its front and center。 The plot was engagin I don't think I can truly put into words just how much this wonderful story touched my heart, but I'm going to go ahead and try my best。 I've been (not) so patiently waiting to read this one, ever since readers were given a glimpse at Ridge's upcoming story at the end of Almost Everything, and it did not disappoint。 Mandi Blake has once again written a swoon worthy, heart wrenching contemporary romance novel that gives all the feels, and keeps Christ at its front and center。 The plot was engaging right from the get go, as we follow along Cheyenne Keeton on her quest to try and keep a roof over her and her sister's head, and stay on top of her mother's medical bills that won't stop piling up。 When she's given the opportunity to work for a corporation that entails taking a job on the idyllic Wolfcreek Ranch to spy on Ridge Cooper, and find out what secrets could destroy the life he's worked so hard to build, she's torn but decides she has to do what she can to help her family。 Only she didn't plan on Ridge being a stand up, wonderful man who is always the first to throw out a helping hand to anyone who needs it。 Soon Cheyenne and Ridge develop a beautiful friendship that hints at something more, but can they ever move past the big secrets that threaten to ruin everything they've worked so hard to build? With relatable characters, suspenseful bits woven into the plot, and an authentic and loveable romance that will leave readers everywhere wanting more, The Only Exception is truly Mandi Blake at her best, and I love how she continues to develop and hone in her craft with each and every book she releases。 Cheyenne and Ridge's story was a wonderful illustration of the Biblical principle that we are never too far gone for God to restore to His glory, and never incapable of being used to accomplish His purpose。I loved how this story included many moments that I wasn't expecting, and as always, I loved seeing characters pop up from the previous books, and even some from one of her previous series。 If you've never picked up a book by this author before, then this is honestly the perfect time to do so。 The Only Exception was everything I could have wanted in a Christian romance, and the epilogue has me even more excited to finally get to read Colt and Remi's story。Final Rating: 5/5。Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite books of the year, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who loves Christian romances。Thanks so much to Mandi Blake for allowing me to advance read and review this one!I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author。 I was not required to give a positive review。 All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this story。 Cheyenne accepts a job to help look after her mum and sister but quickly realises it goes against her morals, especially as she gets to know the real Ridge。 As they face danger from past and present, their feelings, fears and future are tested。 Likeable characters and enjoyable series。 I would have liked to know the outcome of the youth programme (but maybe this will be in the next story)。I received an ARC of this book but voluntarily leave this review。

Cheyenne is desperate for a job so she can pay for her mother's care following a stroke, so when she's offered big bucks to secretly report on the doings of Ridge Cooper, an ex-football player who's spent time in jail for assault, she agrees。 Her history has given her preconceived ideas of both football players and abusers, so she has no compunction。 The only problem is that as she gets to know Ridge, she realises how unfair a picture she was given, and even starts to fall for him。 But the bills Cheyenne is desperate for a job so she can pay for her mother's care following a stroke, so when she's offered big bucks to secretly report on the doings of Ridge Cooper, an ex-football player who's spent time in jail for assault, she agrees。 Her history has given her preconceived ideas of both football players and abusers, so she has no compunction。 The only problem is that as she gets to know Ridge, she realises how unfair a picture she was given, and even starts to fall for him。 But the bills keep piling up。。。 Can Cheyenne find an answer that cares for her mother without destroying Ridge - or any hope of a relationship?I've been enjoying this new series, and it was good to see more of the characters from the earlier books (though this can easily be read as a standalone)。 However, some people don't know how to take no for an answer - and David is definitely one of those。 Nevertheless, I guess we have to forgive him because he introduces Cheyenne to Wolf Creek, and she's clearly perfect for Ridge。 That made for a satisfying story, when combined with David's behind-the-scenes machinations and Cheyenne's struggle to work out what was the right thing to do。 A good story, well written and with an inspiring message, that held my attention from the start。 I look forward to another visit to Wolf Creek Ranch soon!Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more
